I chose long Beach public library because Long beach is where I lived and it wouldn't be far not to talk about it. I grow up going to the library. When I was younger we use to go to field trips to the library and check out books or listen to people tell us the wonderful things about the library. Back then I thought it was the greatest place to be.
Well for those who's never been in the long beach public library before it's near the long beach court building its not a two story building but if you would to walk inside they have built a downstairs story where they have more space and books. since I can remember the library wasn't big about 10 years ago now they expanded the library and now they have some type of a basement or downstairs area where they have more books and sitting areas for people to enjoy. when you walk in there's a check in books desk then when you go in a little feather they have a information desk where people are always there to help you if needed. They also have computers for people who wants to use them as long as you have a library card to log in and they let you use it for 60Min's a day. They have a computer that helps you find books you are looking for. The Main Library offers free wireless Internet access throughout the library as long as you have a valid library card. The Public library had printers and photocopiers. Black and white copies are $.15 per page; color copies are $.50 per page and they even have a typewriter that you can use for free.
They have many popular fiction books for children and young adult that need books for homework assignments. The long beach public library is the main library. They have many collections of popular music from the early 1900's -present songs and they have musical scores for people who are into playing the piano or any musical instruments(it can be checked out). They have family learning center in which you can use to do your homework and they have homework helper(staff).
The best part of visiting Long Beach Public Library was and still is remembering how much fun I have and how different the library is from the homes or outside in public places. Also how the library is so quiet and everybody respects the rules of keeping it quiet. The only thing I didn't like was that even though they upgraded the library they didn't change the look of things it still has that old feeling.
